1980S INTERNATIONAL DRUG TRADE
Overview
The Economic and Security Council will discuss international drug trade in the 1980s, a time when the power and influence of illegal drug trafficking organizations were at a global high. As a committee you will address concerns about money laundering operations by drug trafficking organizations as well as extradition of individuals associated with these operations. The harms of the drug organizations affect not only the countries the drugs are distributed in but also the parent countries as well, so the chairs hope this general assembly can agree upon solutions to limit the effects of these dangerous organizations.
